Our Lemon Aid partner for August 2022 is Ottawa Therapy Dogs
They will be there at our market on August 13 at the Glebe Community Centre.
Ottawa Therapy Dogs (OTD) is a volunteer-based, not-for-profit organization providing ‘pawsitive’ support to vulnerable individuals through animal-assisted therapy. Our volunteer dogs and handler teams visit facilities across the National Capital Region, including CHEO and The Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre, to comfort those coping with mental health and physical challenges. OTD is grateful to our community of donors and supporters who help ensure that we can continue our mission to make a lasting impact in the lives of those who need it most.
We will also have a silent auction going on during the market where people can bid on art pieces made by local artisans. Proceeds from this auction will be going to Ottawa Therapy Dogs.
