Queerly Beloved Arts Market & Spotlight
First and foremost, we would like to acknowledge that this event and all work being done surrounding it takes place on unceded, unsurrendered Algonquin territory that was never given up and never surrendered. We also note that colonialism and genocide by the state is pervasive and ongoing.
Ottawa is FULL of 2SLGBTQIA talent and it needs to be celebrated! This Pride season, your fave queer pals have created an arts market and spotlight that is BY US, FOR US.
You want locally-made queer and trans arts and crafts? How about delicious vegan sweets by Ottawa-based LGBTQ bakers? Did we hear you ask for drag performances by ultra-talented local queens? Live music and spoken word that you seriously won’t want to miss?
We’ve got it all just for you!!! *HEART EYES x3*
Vendor list and performer lineup to be announced!
Art fair and performances from 8-11:30, after party 11:30-late!
FOOD & DRINK
Folks will be able to purchase food and alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks from the baristas at Happy Goat.
Don’t drink? Don’t worry! Several organizers and volunteers of Queerly Beloved will be staying sober for the night and will be wearing pins reading, “SOBER PAL!” so they can be easily found.
