We are excited for our second annual Pride Party with funds going to Rainbow Railroad. This is a family friendly day with food, drinks, a vendors market, face painting, giant yard games, a dance party and the ultimate event-a huge drag show hosted by the one and only, Devona Coe! There is also an online auction running from August 4th-18th with amazing items to bid on and be collected on the day of the party.
Funds raised from this event will be going towards supporting Rainbow Railroad; a global not-for-profit organization that helps LGTBQI+ people facing persecution based on their sexual orientation, gender identity and sex characteristics. In a time when there are more displaced people than ever before, LGBTQI+ people are uniquely vulnerable due to systemic, state-enabled homophobia and transphobia. These factors either displace them in their own country or prevent them from escaping harm.
Since their founding, they’ve helped over 3,100 LGBTQI+ individuals find safety through emergency relocation and other forms of assistance.
Our goal is to raise $10,000 through this event to help an LGBTQI+ person relocate to a safe and accepting environment.
