When you manage multiple pages on Facebook, you don’t want to accidentally comment or like as one of your pages when you intend to use your personal account.
Facebook now has a convenient way of selecting either your personal account or one of the pages that you manage when you want to interact with content posted by a Page or Group. It’s now as simple is clicking a drop-down and selecting which entity will be attributed.
Page Content
For content shared by a Page, the drop-down appears immediately above the comment box. The avatar of your currently active entity is displayed. Click on it to reveal a drop-down and select a different entity as necessary. You can do this in your news feed or on the page itself.
Group Content
Groups work a bit differently. You don’t select the attributed entity on a per-post basis – instead you set this as your group default. The drop-down appears in the group header. The avatar of your currently active entity is displayed. Click on it to reveal a drop-down and select a different entity as necessary.
Note that this applies to the Desktop version of Facebook. The experience on Facebook’s mobile site and app may differ.
