DESCRIPTION:Ottawa’s annual and ever popular German Christmas Market! 30 fantastic vendors selling a wide variety of Christmas baking\, arts and crafts\, chocolate and much more! \nEach year as Christmas approaches\, residents of Ottawa and vicinity eagerly look forward to the annual Christmas Market at the Maple Leaf – Almrausch Club. During the Market\, the club house is transformed into a large German Christmas Market. The ground and second floors are filled with booths. Local and out of town vendors are present with an amazing array of goods. \nFor those of you who get hungry\, the lower level of the club becomes a German restaurant. You can have a soup\, or schnitzel or sausage served on a bun or as a dinner with all the trimmings. Our restaurant is so popular that we now offer some of our meals for take-out\, should you desire. A traditional German Market has Kaffee\, Kuchen und Glühwein\, so of course we have coffee\, cake and hot spiced wine with a variety of homemade cakes. Our bar is open for you to enjoy soft drinks\, wine and German beer on tap. \nIf you are looking for a quick snack before or after shopping\, visit our new Wursthütte outside\, to the left of the main entrance\, where you can get a Bratwurst\, Leberkäse or a German Wiener on a bun\, or try a Currywurst. \nFood and Drink Available \nAt the Bar: Beer\, wine\, Glühwein\, coffee and cake \nIn the Schenke: Schnitzel\, sausage\, sauerkraut\, red cabbage\, lentil soup\, goulash soup\, potato salad \nIn the Wursthütte (to the left of the main entrance): Bratwurst\, Leberkäse or a German Wiener on a bun\, a Currywurst\, French fries \nOn the Main Level: Take-out \nFriday 16 Nov.\, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.\nSaturday 17 Nov.\, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.\nSunday 18 Nov.\, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. \nChildren under 12 free \nA portion of the admission proceeds will be donated to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
